howlin’ ghost proletarians : dead roads

cdr (lim. 99)
having just landed from the cold scandinavian land, our friend costas pelonis met us at the dimly lit ditch that editions_zero uses for its athens office. Being almost impossible to stand there from the heat of that mid july morning we packed, picked our mail and the necessary music to listen to our way back & forth and drove to the countryside, to a friend’s resort… crashing there for the day it was late noon when seeing the sunset and drinking lots of alcohol that did we decide to check the mail… ‘what’s dat?’ costas asked, ‘lemme see’ chronis petras said… ah DEAD ROADS a recording of FABRICE EGLIN (guitar, amp, walkman), a improvisor of the french network that’s been a busy bee in grenoble’s network and has so far issued some nice improv musics with people like jerome noetinger, benjamin renard, and others and MICHEL HENRITZI (guitar, amp, lapsteel), the guy behind ‘a bruit secret’ label, dustbreeders and many more… ‘let’s listen to it and see what happens’ he suggested… the sounds unearthed from that cheap stereo we had carried together were a bizarre improvisation at times w/ a blues(ey) feeling or others a more abstract avant mood in it… atmospheres that were bringing in mind rockish moods out there in the countryside that we were lying… and to remember that day and its sunset’s bizarre listening did we decide to issue that cdr, as we doubt that even if we filmed our day it would have been more picturesque than its sounds…

sold out.
