pascal battus, alfredo costa monteiro : ductile

cdr, limited to 160

raw unedited recordings of paper noisily moving around closely positioned microphones, resulting in extremely detailed sound creation. Not sure exactly what kind of movement, or how simple pieces of paper were made to sing so brightly, but you can trust the two musicians to carry out the task. Noisy and screeching as expected, at times confrontational, at times expansive and rich in detail. The disc explores a territory that other avant musicians have dipped into, only it does so decisively and with full force during its fifty minutes of raw sound.
