i was surprised to hear a couple of years ago that as11 is keen on bagpipe playing, or at least he's trying to do so... there were a couple of occasions that we had discussed a possible release of pure & intense manipulated or not bagpipe sounds but nothing was arranged until a month ago that did as11 call to say that the recording's ready for release. the first shock of this sudden happy piece of news turned to a greater shock upon listening to the recordings. hardly recognizable bagpipe sounds so lovely manipulated either as 'brass' part or mixed with a monotonous cacophonic percussive sound sounding as a play of such songs of traditional greek music in 2 tracks of the cdr... brought to you as if an offer to a superior being whatever or whoever this might be... no matter what comes recommended to be played extremely loud!
